If your vehicle is brand new, there is typically a break-in period where it is recommended you have your oil changed within the first 3,000 to 10,000 miles ― depending on your driving habits, weather, and/or road conditions you’ve encountered.

Conventional vs. Synthetic Oil

Audi recommends top-tier engine oil for your vehicle ― that is, an advanced full synthetic oil engineered for optimal engine performance. A full synthetic oil is a man-made product engineered to deliver superior and consistent viscosity performance in both low- and high- temperature environments.

Conventional oil is manufactured from crude oil and is thicker than full synthetic oil and synthetic oil blends. It will break down in high-temperature conditions and is not recommended for your Audi vehicle.
