How Does the Lexus L/Certified Vehicle Program Compare to the Audi Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle Program?

Warranty

When you purchase a certified pre-owned (CPO) Audi vehicle from Audi Hoffman Estates, your vehicle is covered by the Audi CPO Limited Warranty Program. At the time of purchase, your CPO vehicle will be covered by any remaining original New Vehicle Limited Warranty (standard bumper-to-bumper and powertrain coverage), followed by two years or up to 50,000 miles ― whichever comes first ― of CPO Limited Warranty coverage.

If the original new vehicle warranty (four years or 50,000 miles) expired prior to your purchase of a CPO vehicle, the CPO Limited Warranty begins on the day of your purchase and provides warranty coverage for two years with unlimited mileage.

Additional benefits under the Audi CPO Limited Warranty Program include no deductible or transfer fees as well as roadside assistance throughout the CPO Limited Warranty period. Audi CPO Warranty protection is honored at Audi dealerships throughout the United States and is transferable between private parties at no additional cost.

The L/Certified Limited Warranty from Lexus is valid for up to six years. This includes any remaining time on the existing four-year/50,000-mile new vehicle Basic Warranty followed by two years/unlimited mileage with a L/Certified Limited Warranty. Complimentary maintenance is also included.

Inspection Process

Only vehicles that pass a comprehensive inspection and meet other criteria can qualify for Audi CPO vehicle status. To qualify, the previously owned Audi vehicle must be five model years old or newer and have an odometer reading of no more than 60,000 miles. In addition, it must pass a rigorous 300-point, 125-component inspection conducted by a trained Audi technician.

A 161-point inspection by factory-trained technicians is conducted before a used vehicle can be deemed L/Certified by Lexus. Other criteria Lexus CPO vehicles must meet include:

• Must be six model years old or newer

• Must have an odometer reading of no more than 70,000 miles

Roadside Assistance

Enjoy 24-hour roadside assistance throughout the length of the CPO warranty coverage with both Audi and Lexus. Unexpected emergencies happen ― like running out of gas or dealing with a dead battery or flat tire when you're away from home. You'll find an added layer of support is available, thanks to roadside assistance as part of your Audi and Lexus CPO warranty protection.

Additional roadside assistance offered to qualifying Audi CPO vehicles includes extrication service and trip interruption coverage. Trip interruption coverage is also available with L/Certified by Lexus pre-owned vehicles.

Reliability

Your Audi luxury vehicle is highly engineered and precision crafted for exceptional performance. An Audi CPO vehicle has met strict criteria to be CPO qualified and approved by Audi.

While both luxury brands are recognized for their design and performance excellence, as another layer of purchaser confidence, Audi CPO vehicles undergo more rigorous inspection and are generally newer models (five years versus six years) with fewer miles on the odometer (up to 60,000 miles versus 70,000 miles) than L/Certified by Lexus vehicles.
